The film sets off with Arjun contemplating his existential
crisis in the late hours of the day. Though his mom is trying to help him
reminisce his childhood, it doesn’t perturb him much as he is too engrossed
with his mundane routine. We could see the glaring dissent being portrayed as
the key tone when it comes to Arjun’s characterization. Arjun has tried and
tested out different methods offered by the pseudo-saint to rake up his life’s
essence. Arjun’s puffy eyes and persistent restlessness show his irresistible
longing to explore his inner self. He has emoted brilliantly in the scene where
he burns stuff and is in the brink of desperation. On the other side of the coin,
Anu is a budding photographer who spends much of her quality time in honing the
intricacies of her favorite skill. She is being showcased the kind of person
who prefers substance over style. Anu is able to convey gamut of emotions
through her eyes and chuckled all along gracefully throughout the film.
Arjun’s friend has tickled the funny bones of the viewers in the early
part of the movie with his witty one-liners. It is interesting to observe the
contrasting nature of Arjun and his friend when it comes to perceiving life.
Lord Krishna’s teaching of Swadharma has been driven as the core idea of the
film. It is indeed an unique attempt to touch on the subject which has been
rarely discussed about in the movie fraternity.
Cinematographer
has framed the long exposure shots and golden hour sun tint wonderfully.
Soul-stirring music has also done adequate justification to the depth of the
plot. There are few subtler aspects of the film that requires a special
mention. The director pushes the viewers to pay attention to the granular
details, be it Anu riding the bicycle slowly which is in coherence with careful
processing of her dilemmatic thought structure or the interaction between Arjun
and Anu in the climax scene happening in the clear sky indicating the
development of Arjun’s mental clarity. The scene which I like the most is when
Anu emotes puzzled jubilation in the fag end of the movie. She is oblivious of
Arjun’s epiphany and doesn’t grasp the gravity of the situation but just simply
embraces the merit of the moment.
